Agriculture in the Classroom teaches students in grades 1-6 how agriculture touches our lives daily. From the time we wake up and pull back our cotton sheets, pack our lunch, ride to school in a car or school bus with rubber tires, and brush our teeth before going to bed at night, we are involved in agriculture. Agriculture touches us all day, every day.

Using Agriculture in the Classroom resource material available through the local county Farm Bureau, teachers can guide their students in exploring the source of our food and fiber, and the many steps it takes from the field to our homes.

Agriculture in the Classroom is successful because of the participation of Farm Bureau members who farm and ranch in the local community. These volunteers bring the program to life for your students.

Contact your local County FB or Tad Duncan for information.
