The Summer Agricultural Institute is a graduate level class held at Tarleton State University in Stephenville. The week-long Institute provides teachers in grades K-6 with hands-on activities and ideas about agriculture that can be used to enrich their classrooms. Those attending the Institute receive three hours of graduate credit, 45 clock hours of Professional Development credit, and an abundance of resources that can be used in their classrooms.
Scholarships are available through the local county Farm Bureau office.
What will I get out of SAI?
SAI participants will return home with exciting resources to help educate students and colleagues about agriculture. Participants will be asked to support “Agriculture in the Classroom” activities in their area. Some of the free material teachers will receive are:

DVD—Exploring the Regions of Texas
Texas Agriculture Resource Guide,
Food and Fiber for the 21st Century
Resource material from other agencies and organizations
