The Mobile Learning Barn trailer creates a connection between people and agriculture, and the impact it has on our lives. The Mobile Learning Barn is a part of our TFB Agriculture in the Classroom Program.

The Mobile Learning Barn is a flexible and versatile learning center that can be used by every county Farm Bureau throughout Texas. The barn
can be used at agriculture fairs and Ag Days, county livestock shows, schools or any other event where the county Farm Bureau wants to “Tell Agriculture’s Story.”

The trailer can display up to seven commodities with two sections being portable, stand alone barns that can be set up curb side. The various commodities displayed in the Mobile Learning Barn include corn, cotton, grain sorghum, pork, beef and dairy, to name a few. With a variety of commodities, the displays are flexible to meet the needs of the various regions in Texas.

Not only is the Mobile Learning Barn a great visual display, but it is interactive as well. Each individual display contains commodities and their by-products. These samples and products allow for a hands-on, personal feel to be added to the learning center. These common products found on the household pantry shelves bring agriculture into our homes.

In order to increase opportunities to “Tell Agriculture’s Story,” Texas Farm Bureau has nine Mobile Learning Barns placed across Texas. These trailers allow for a regionalized appeal to be available at all times. To learn more about the Mobile Learning Barn in your area or to book one of the units, please contact your county Farm Bureau office or Texas Farm Bureau at 254-751-2273 or email MLB@txfb.org.
